On January 9-10, 2024 the hearing for the Founding Executive Director for the Carl and Gerty Cori Institute of Molecular and Computational Metabolism took place in Graz.
Six outstanding candidates gave insights into their scientific career as part of public lectures and presented their vision for the Cori Institute during closed sessions chaired by an international search committee.
The participation of the President and Vice President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences as well as the Rectors and Vice Rectors of the three Graz partner universities, University of Graz, Medical University Graz and the Graz University of Technology, clearly showed the importance of the ongoing director search.
The success of the hearing was reflected by almost 100 participants from the science community in Graz. The Austrian Academy of Sciences is looking forward finding soon the best suited scientist and charismatic personality for the vacant Founding Director position of the Cori Institute in Graz.
