Guidelines for event cost subsidies
BioTechMed-Graz supports scientific events with a thematic connection by providing a cost subsidy, provided certain requirements are met.
Funding
Upon submission of the relevant receipts, up to €1,000 can be paid for the following expenses:
- Travel and accommodation costs for external, international speakers
- Direct material expenses that are directly related to the event
Eligible Events
Funding can be granted for scientific events that meet the following criteria:
- The event (e.g., symposium, congress) is of broad interest to the members of BioTechMed-Graz.
- The organization organized by individuals or institutions from at least two of the three BioTechMed-Graz partner universities.
- The content has a clear connection to at least one of the four research areas of BioTechMed-Graz.
- External participants (e.g., speakers) are actively involved in the event.
Funding Requirements
- The BioTechMed-Graz logo must be included in the event announcements (e.g., program, flyers).
- The BioTechMed-Graz logo must be used at the event (for example by setting up borrowable roll-ups or digitally in presentations).
- BioTechMed-Graz will be mentioned and linked as a sponsor on social media (if available) as part of the event communication.
- Upon request, the BioTechMed-Graz Board of Directors must be given the opportunity to address the audience.
In addition, BioTechMed-Graz promotional materials (e.g., notepads, pens) may be placed at the event if desired.
Application Process
If you are interested, please send a short description of the planned event to office(at)biotechmedgraz.at.
The BioTechMed-Graz Board of Directors will check the applications for cost coverage for formal criteria and decide on a possible approval and the amount of the event subsidy.
Required Documents for Cost Reimbursement
- A photo documenting the visibility of BioTechMed-Graz during the event (e.g., presentations, roll-ups, etc.).
- A statement of total costs, including receipts.
