HRSM tender 2013
As part of the Higher Education Area Structural Funds Initiative 2013 of the Ministry of Science, three projects of the Medical University of Graz as the responsible body and the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology as cooperation partners were supported with a total of 4.4 million euros:
Nationally and internationally recognized MRI research has been carried out at the Medical University of Graz for almost 30 years. The 3T magnetic resonance system installed in 2005 for increased research in the psychological and neuroscientific field has now been upgraded with the help of funding. The upgrade also ensures compatibility with the 3T MR, which was purchased by the University of Graz together with Graz University of Technology.
Devices:
The aim of this project is to establish a center of excellence for ultra-high-resolution light microscopy in Graz. The latest technologies, the upgrading of existing equipment and the already established integration of image processing, modeling and simulation in cell structure research can be further advanced.
As part of the Nikon Center of Excellence jointly established at the Medical University of Graz and the University of Graz, a total of three high-performance microscopes were purchased from Nikon, two of which are in use at the Medical University of Graz and one at the University of Graz.
