Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the BioTechMed-Graz Nobel Lecture planned for December 16, 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled.
However, we are pleased to inform you that Nobel Laureate Prof. Bruce Beutler will be our guest at the BioTechMed-Graz Nobel Lecture in 2022.
Prof. Bruce A. Beutler is immunologist and geneticist and he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2011 for "discoveries concerning the activation of innate immunity". His research is considered a revolution in our understanding of the human immune system and is crucial for the development of new therapies to fight infections, autoimmune diseases and cancer.
