Guidelines for Contribution to Event Costs by BioTechMed-Graz

The following criteria apply to financial support by BioTechMed-Graz for expenses up to a maximum of 1,000 EUR:

• The support is for an scientific event (symposium, meeting, etc.) of broad interest for the BioTechMed-Graz members being organized by persons or organizational units of at least two of the three BioTechMed-Graz partner universities.
   
• The topic of the event is clearly relevant to at least one of the four research areas of BioTechMed-Graz.
   
• The event involves participants from outside the BioTechMed-Graz partner universities (e.g., as speakers).
   
• The BioTechMed-Graz logo is included on the materials announcing the event (programs, leaflets, etc.) and information material about BioTechMed-Graz will be laid out/distributed at the event.
   
• Expenses for outside, international speakers (e.g. travel and hotel expenses) and direct expenses for consumables for the event will be supported subject to submission of valid records of the expenses (invoices).

BioTechMed-Graz may grant financial support for expenses of 2,000 EUR if additionally to the above-mentioned criteria a talk is labelled as "BioTechMed-Graz Lecture" in the program of the event. In this case the event will be promoted as "BioTechMed-Graz Symposium" on the BioTechMed-Graz website.

The board of directors will assess whether applications for financial support meet the formal criteria and will take the decisions on their potential approval and the amount of financial support.
