Research Objectives

One goal of the area „Quantitative Biomedicine and Modeling“ is the realization of quantitative analyses such as the registration of data by means of imaging, experimental investigations and related measurements and evaluations. As a result these data are then available for model building and simulation. Thereby it is important to have good quality of data as well as an appropriate data selection. A subsequent step is the development of quantification methods and analysis software for the individual research directions. The prepared data serve the basis for biomedical model building and simulation with the goal to better understand physiological and pathophysiological processes, and to answer medical issues with a satisfactory precision.
