BioTechMed-Graz Membership


Full members of BioTechMed-Graz:

The following groups of employees of the three partner universities can apply to become full members of BioTechMed-Graz:

  • All members of the scientific university staff with a doctorate in a permanent employment contract or in an upright tenure-track procedure.

The following additional criteria must be met:

  • Own research group funded by third-party funds (e.g. FWF, FFG, National Bank, EU, industry) in the last 7 years, in the respective departments of BioTechMed-Graz

  • Relevant publications in journals with high international visibility (e.g. top 30% of the subject-specific JCR list, where relevant), primarily from your own research group

  • Three letters of recommendation from BioTechMed-Graz full members (endorsements) from at least two BioTechMed-Graz partner universities with an explanation of the cooperation projects.

Rights of full members:

  • Full members have access to internal, competitively awarded funding from BioTechMed-Graz
  • Participation and active involvement in the profiling process and at members' meetings
  • Free participation in all network activities

Duties of full members:

  • Citing BioTechMed-Graz in affiliations and acknowledgments (see decision on affiliation) and use of the BioTechMed-Graz logo in presentations
  • Participation in public relations and representation of BioTechMed-Graz at public events


Associated members of BioTechMed-Graz:
All persons who are active in the BioTechMed-Graz departments or their environment (e.g. Ludwig Boltzmann Institutes, K-Centres, Christian Doppler Laboratories, administrative units of the universities) and would like to be informed about the activities of BioTechMed-Graz.
