On December 12, 2022 Nobel Laureate Prof. Bruce A. Beutler held the BioTechMed-Graz Nobel Lecture 2022 at the Medical University of Graz on "Discovering TNF, TLRs, and other proteins with key importance in immunity".
Prof. Bruce A. Beutler is an immunologist and geneticist and was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2011 for discoveries concerning the activation of innate immunity. His research is considered a revolution in our understanding of the human immune system and is crucial for the development of new therapies to fight infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.
