  • 10.-12.11.2026: European Summit of Industrial Biotechnology in Graz (Banner).

    The European Summit of Industrial Biotechnology (esib), organized by acib GmbH, is a well-established networking platform event for the community of industrial biotechnology. esib 2026 is held together with the International Conference on Metabolic and Protein Engineering for Biosynthesis (MaPEB) and unites the leading representatives of industry, academia and politics in Graz, Austria from 10th – 13th November 2026. In addition to an exciting program focusing on “Circular Bioeconomy” and “AI and Biopharmaceutical Production,” this year’s event will once again feature numerous satellite events (workshops by bisy GmbH, a site visit to ZETA) and networking opportunities, such as the matchmaking event organized by EEN. Science Breakfast
As part of the Science Breakfasts, guest lectures on current scientific and socially relevant topics are held once a month.
Faculty Club
The monthly Faculty Club offers all BioTechMed-Graz members a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and networking.
Nobel Lecture
Once a year, BioTechMed-Graz invites a Nobel Prize winner to give a lecture in Graz in order to communicate cutting-edge science to a broad audience.
RWÜW
The discussion forum allows interested individuals to ask experts questions on a specific topic, thereby promoting dialogue between society and science.
Lab Visit
The lab visits provide insight into the research activities and infrastructure of BioTechMed-Graz members with short presentations and a lab tour.
retreat
The retreats serve as a forum for exchange between BioTechMed-Graz researchers at different stages of their careers.
