Faculty Club - Flagship Lecture
Mit dem BioTechMed-Graz Faculty Club wird allen Vollmitgliedern und assoziierten Mitgliedern eine Plattform für interdisziplinären Austausch und Vernetzung im Rahmen von "Flagship Lectures" und "Offenen Abenden" geboten. Der Faculty Club findet jeden dritten Mittwoch im Monat um 17:00 Uhr an der Technischen Universität Graz, Stremayrgasse 16 statt.
BioTechMed-Graz bietet für die Flagship Lectures eine Kinderbetreuung von 16:30 bis 20:00 Uhr in der Rooftop Mensa an.

Am 19.03.2025 um 17:00 Uhr findet die nächste Flagship Lecture an der TU Graz (Stremayrgasse 16, Erdgeschoss, Hörsaal BMT) statt.
Univ.-Prof. DI Dr. Georg Langs von der Medizinischen Universität Wien, hält einen Vortrag zum Thema „Machine Learning in Medical Imaging Bridges Clinical Care and Discovery”:
“The talk will discuss the role of machine learning in medical imaging. It will illustrate how methods useful in supporting clinical decisions can bridge large scale real life patient populations with the discovery of novel treatments. He will outline the challenges of coping with the continually evolving heterogeneity of imaging technology, normal patient individuality, and often subtle patterns associated with disease progression and treatment response. The talk will use several examples from clinical care, and biomedical research to motivate the approaches.”
